Biography for Holly Bedrosian:

Born in Massachusetts in 1975, Holly Bedrosian is a self-taught artist who has had a fascination with drawing faces from a young age, when she began creating portraits of family and friends. Though she continued to sketch throughout college, Holly elected to focus her studies on the sciences, completing a bachelor’s degree in physics from the College of the Holy Cross in 1997. She went on to work as an engineer for the next ten years, but the desire to pursue her interest in the arts was always present. In March of 2007, she changed careers to become a self-employed artist. Since taking the plunge to pursue her dream, she has never looked back. With a keen eye for subtleties in faces, Bedrosian focuses on realistic portraiture and figurative fine art, and believes that capturing the subject’s personality and character is of utmost importance.

Holly Bedrosian’s work has been accepted into National and International exhibitions including the Salmagundi Club Annual Juried Painting and Sculpture Exhibition for Non-Members, the American Artists Professional League Grand National Exhibition, the Art Renewal Center International Salon, the Art Kudos International Juried Art Competition and Exhibition, the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Annual Open Juried Exhibition, the Whistler House Museum of Art Annual Members Exhibition, Francesca Anderson Fine Art Annual Portrait Show, and the Academic Artists Association National Exhibition. Holly is a Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, and is also affiliated with Francesca Anderson Fine Art, the Lowell Art Association, the Portrait Society of America, and the International Guild of Realism. Her work has been published in Strokes of Genius, American Artist, Drawing, Rhode Island Monthly, and the Boston Globe.
