A Google or Walmart bank would be attractive to a large slice of young consumers, according to a survey that also shows almost four in 10 people aged between 18-34 would switch to a bank without a physical branch network.
The results are included in two reports by Accenture, the consultancy, due to be published on Tuesday, which feed the sense of threat felt by the traditional banking sector from newer rivals, particularly technology companies.
