The 2010 State of the Union Address will be given by United States President Barack Obama on January 27, 2010, to a joint session of Congress. It will be Obama’s first State of the Union Address, though the president did give a non-State of the Union speech to a joint session of Congress a month after taking office in 2009. The speech will be delivered on the floor of the United States House of Representatives in the United States Capitol. Sitting behind the president will be the presiding officers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
