“A Partridge in a Pear Tree,” is a wonderful symbol for holiday giving. But this year, we’d like to suggest a new symbol—namely, “A White Dove in a Pear-Apple-Peach-Orange-Cherry-Plum-Tomato-Zucchini-Carrot-Squash-Pepper-Grape-and-Nut Tree.”
To explain: I spent the last four months crisscrossing the United States and Europe. I met friends and strangers alike, and got a sense of the mood of the people.
What did I find? Folks are worried and almost everyone seems to be suffering from economic distress. But I also saw an impressive resilience. As a global community, we’re still looking forward to the future, digging in to make it through the long winter.
In short, there’s hope. And that hope inspired the Solari Team to make a commitment. We’re donating to the local food banks or farmers’ markets of every state and country where we serve clients. So this holiday season, there’ll be something extra for those hit hardest in all 50 U.S. states and 23 countries listed in the painting.
Our goal is to expand this program worldwide as more clients and subscribers join us. And we’re hoping it inspires our friends and associates to add even more to the coffers of their local food banks.
