I doubt that the world will come to an end since it has survived far greater and unspeakable calamities. Yet, it is no consolation that what may indeed be coming to an end is the way of living and thinking to which we have become accustomed. In other words, the financial and economic world as we have experienced it in the last hundred years or so, will not last much longer.
