Something special happened this week. I finished paying off Nissan Motors.
In 2000, I leased or purchased three Nissan Pathfinders for Solari, Inc. As the litigation went on much longer than expected, I found myself unable to carry them. We turned two of them back to the leasing companies. Nissan was professional about it and finally wrote the debt off as the litigation went on for many more years. Chase was akin to dealing with movie mobsters.
When I settled the litigation and was in a position to build Solari, I decided that crime ought not to pay. Nissan should get paid off, not just Chase. So one of our team called Nissan and bugged them until they found the old debt. They reinstated it and I have been paying them $100 for 40 plus months. It has now been retired.
I am still driving my third Nissan purchased in 2000. It has almost 300,000 miles on it. It is an amazing car which has seen me through thick and thin. Reliable. A pleasure to drive. Good to look at. My mechanic thinks I can drive it to 400,000 miles.
Any company that makes a car that fine, deserves to be paid in full and deserves praise as well.
Thank you, Nissan Motors.
