When my dog Forest died earlier this year, I was faced with the prospect of raising a new dog while traveling. I discussed my challenge with a farmer who lives nearby. She agreed to share one of her five dogs, Wilson, an Australian sheep dog, with me. Wilson lives at my house when I am in Hickory Valley. When I travel, he returns to Piney Notch Farm to herd sheep and roam the countryside with two Doberman, a Grand Pyrenees and a Corgi named Edna. While browsing the financial news this am, it turns out that Wilson and I are not unique.
