While I was in Portugal, I received the following e-mail from my assistant in Hickory Valley:
“The local energy authority stopped by regarding Smart meter, said that he was going to put the smart meter on or cut off the electricity. I tried to get him to wait until I could reach you, so that you could speak with him but he wouldn’t. He went ahead and put the meter on, I didn’t think that you would want him to cut off the electricity.”
This means I now have a surveillance device attached to my office in Hickory Valley. The message is essentially the same as the infamous quip by chief executive officer of Sun Microsystems Scott McNealy – “You have zero privacy anyway…Get over it.”
My personal interest in owning US residential real estate is at a new all time low.
