GMOs & Nano-Technology

**CAF Note: I asked one of our subscribers if I could republish his comment on GMOs and Nano-Technology engineering of the food supply. This guy is essentially so knowledgeable about food and so intelligent that he can not be worn down by propaganda, financial incentives and time. I think he sums the situation up nicely.**

My position on GMO’s is simple. There is fundamentally no GMO science. There is GMO technology. Just like there is really no weather modification science – just technology. (Even economics is more of a science). And in my opinion, attempts to change the biology of the earth through Genetic Modification and the chemistry of the earth through Nano-Technology represent the largest threat to life and quality of life on earth, other than armageddon and celestial based catastrophes.

The reason I make this claim about the lack of science in GMO “science” is that science is essentially “the process of conjecture and refutation”. If one were really interested in finding out the “scientific” truth about GMO’s, the proponents of GMO’s would not be conducting themselves as they have – especially the “pro-GMO” researchers. Nor would the corporations that profit immensely from the essentially unbridled use and experimentation on GAIA behave the way they are behaving – through the lobbyists they employ, the government agencies they infect, the political pressure they bring to bear, the collaboration with the intelligence organizations, the contrarian findings they attempt to suppress, the tactics used to demean or discredit those who would try to refute their “science”, the legal tactics used to protect their IP (like suing farmers whose fields they infect for IP infringement) and on and on. Just like the US currency cannot be sustained as the reserve currency under current conditions without the use of force, GMO’s cannot be sustained against the search for truth without the use of force. Both have no ethical standing.

GMO’s in agriculture are not about feeding the world and helping humanity (despite Bill Gates’ propaganda). This technology is about control – about controlling the food supply through among other things terminator seeds, monopolistic practices and the establishment and defense of IP rights around the patenting of life structures – something that was not allowed by the patent office until late in the 20th century (another enabling force for criminality). And there is almost always a two-fer involved. Because most GMO plants are designed specifically to tolerate higher doses of the chemicals the GMO seed companies produce. Problem, Reaction, Solution – on multiple levels.

GMO’s have been introduced into the food supply by decree – not science – by the FDA decreeing their legitimacy through a fabricated “equivalency principle” (that GMO foods and non-GMO foods are equivalent) – thus no need for labeling or deeper scrutiny. Go back and see how much “science” there was at the time to back that claim up. Interesting how on the one hand for IP purposes GMO’s are treated as proprietary (unique creations) but yet for food regulatory purposes, they are treated as equivalent. And it gets worse from there.

The bottom line is, we don’t even know how soil works. Our biological models for how things work are so puerile and one dimensional as to be laughable. Our deployment of these technologies epitomizes human ignorance and arrogance. And in fact, our whole “scientific” approach for studying complicated biological systems (based on reductionism and statistical analysis that views uniqueness as an aberration) is fatally flawed in my opinion.

So I can go into a lot more detail obviously, but I just wanted to put my flag in the sand. Screwing around with creating things that nature could never or would never “reproduce”, and proliferating these creatures through the pharmaceutical, air, water and food supply, is creating hell on earth in ways that are literally beyond comprehension.
